Come to this stunning location and immerse yourself in creating at the edge of the marine environment! Transform the rich colors and textures of seaweeds into beautifully crafted art forms.We’ll create sculptural objects and bowl forms with translucent layers and fine details. Learn about seaweeds from our marine expert who will take us into the intertidal zone and inspire us with intriguing life stories of local Oregon Seaweeds. During our three days you’ll learn specially developed techniques for shaping and casting local and imported seaweeds dimensionally, allowing for surprising twists as the shrink and move. We’ll combine them into wall sculptures, collage, and vessel forms, with optional embedded elements from nature.
