SPRING ART RETREAT WITH JILL POWERS May 2 -7 2009
Materials from Nature
Contemporary art with natural materials -create visual
poetry with earthy mineral paints and desert mixed
media. Deepen the sources of your creative work.
The retreat includes guided sessions, contemplative
practices, and open time for relaxing, devoting time
to your art, exploring the area, or hiking in the canyons.
All levels of experience are welcome! Sign up
early! Near Abiquiu, New Mexico- one hour NW of
Santa Fe. Optional extra day- Jill’s tour of Santa Fe -
a selection of galleries, museums, and unique experiences.
Boulder, Colorado artist, Jill Powers, leads art retreats
for groups in contemplative settings in nature.
Her work in sculptural fiber is exhibited in galleries in
Los Angeles and Santa Fe, as well as internationally.
Jill is on the art faculty of Naropa University, and has a
masters degree from Tyler School of Art.
