The Adventure has begun!Category: Silkworms — Oct 13, 12:49 PM
The adventure has begun! The tiniest creatures are now part of my daily life, and they have a strong presence here already. The eggs hatched a week earlier than I expected, right during the first day of Open Studios. So about 500 people have now seen them in their early stages! Every couple of days they double in size, so the ones who hatched first are much larger than the others. This photo shows a few eggs about to hatch. The one with the dark circle is a silkworm ready to come out. The white looking egg is an empty case where the silkworm has already emerged.
